Show your friends and co-workers that you're not afraid to go beyond cream and sugar (or at least read about someone doing it).
When you shop at the PWTIC Store, all proceeds go directly to buying more weird crap to throw in coffee.
"My research turned up a site from a person weirdo who adds random things to his coffee. For example bacon, blue cheese and bananas. I can't imagine how dull his life is to get that bored..."

It made me very happy to see this pop up in my feed reader!
The questions remains of course how exactly the pasta water coffee tasted, except for “no”.
That is an excellent question. Perhaps I’ll try it someday. I think you should try it too.
Agreed, I really should. Inconveniently, I am off coffee these days and I don’t usually eat pasta, but maybe I’ll make a double exception for this experiment.
Alright, I tried some pasta water coffee (regular dried supermarket pasta, coarse manually ground medium-roast coffee, tap water, little salt, french press), and it was not too bad. The texture was a bit thicker than ususal, and the taste seemed a little subdued. My best guess is that the latter is the “No” part from the twitter post; my second best is that their pasta water was too salty.
Haha, it is awesome that you actually did this! Can I add your comment to the post?
I don’t see why not, go ahead! Feels a bit odd to grant permission like this as an anonymous commenter, but still, very nice that you asked.
Looking forward to future weirdness in coffee.
I am nothing if not generous to anonymous randos. Thanks. 🙂
…and of course I fail to reply to the original thread. (https://puttingweirdthingsincoffee.com/2020/05/23/pasta-water-in-coffee/#comment-39727)
I’m just really happy to see an update to this blog. While also finding out I should not put my pasta water into my coffee lol. Thanks!
Just grim… have you seen the new thing is putting mayo in your coffee? Definitely one to try. And I have to admit I once fell for an april fools joke about putting ketchup in your coffee. It was… Tomato-y at best… Hell I can write you a guest post for the full story if you want
