Eggspresso Replication

February 11, 2010

In my non-blogging secret-identity life, I am a scientist. As such, I value scientific techniques such as replication, blinding, and control conditions.

So it tickled my test tubes to see Kate (?) over at The Purpose of Time is to Prevent Everything From Happening at Once perform a double-blind-ish taste test replication of PWTIC’s Eggspresso experiment.

You’ll have to click to see the results.

She also gets bonus credit for using the word “proteinaceous.”

I dissolved an entire candy cane in a cup of coffee. Tastes delicious! Also, could you retry the bacon coffee with your magic bullet? I remain somewhat doubtful that its flavor was sufficiently incorporated into your morning joe. You’ve done peanut butter, you’ve done peanut butter and jelly, but have you done jelly alone? Or perhaps different varieties of jellies?

Wrong – so wrong. Stop now. Seek therapy. (Blogged at myplace)

Curious: I am definitely going to perform further experiments with bacon. I might try different jellies, too. A sweeter one could probably be not bad. A candy cane sounds great too!

Gary: Who needs more therapy: the one who does wrong, or the one who blogs about the one who does wrong? 🙂

You can’t play that old Jedi mind trick on me!

Ever had cola in your coffee? (DO NOT ADD MILK!)

I’ve yet to do formal experiments with cola. However, I used to love Coca Cola Blak while it briefly existed, so I am going to try recreating that someday soon.
